About Burbank Temple Emanu El and our ECC
With a +75-year history, Burbank Temple Emanu El (BTEE) is a progressive Conservative synagogue in Burbank. We are a welcoming and participatory Jewish community that honors traditions, celebrates diversity, and practices an authentic and dynamic Judaism. The BTEE Early Childhood Center (ECC) is a high-quality Jewish developmental program serving children ages 2-5 years. We are open to all and have a diverse community of students from all cultures and faiths (https://www.ecc.btee.org/).
The ECC has been a part of the Burbank community for nearly 50 years and is licensed for 84 students. Currently serving about 35 children due to Universal Pre-K and other factors, we are aiming to increase enrolment. The ECC Director will proactively manage and grow the school, working with staff and volunteers, engaging former, current, and new families, and being a presence in the broader community.
Position Summary
The ECC Director leads the daily operations of BTEE’s Early Childhood Center, managing staff, enrollment, and family engagement while ensuring a high-quality, inclusive program. This role oversees curriculum, compliance, budgeting, and fundraising, and works closely with the BTEE board and ECC committee to advance the preschool’s vision.
